Water main break floods streets in Goose Island

CHICAGO - A water main broke Monday morning in Goose Island, flooding streets in the Near North Side neighborhood.

The break occurred in the area of Milwaukee Avenue and Willard Court, just east of the Kennedy Expressway.

Localized flooding impacted some travel lanes and bicycle lanes, but streets are still open.

It wasn't immediately clear what caused the break or if water service was affected to any residential buildings.
