An Illinois Lottery player won $700,000 after purchasing a Lucky Day Lotto ticket at a Jewel-Osco in Chicago.
The ticket was bought for the Nov. 10 evening drawing at the Jewel-Osco located at 4660 West Irving Park Road in Chicago's Irving Park neighborhood.

Indiana man secures record $37M settlement in construction zone crash
A northwest Indiana man who was severely injured in a construction zone crash will receive more than $37 million in a pretrial personal injury settlement.
The crash occurred on Aug. 26, 2020 on U.S. 30 in Valparaiso. Brad Detert, 37, sued those responsible for the road construction work, alleging they failed to comply with state and federal signage and safety requirements at the work site, according to his attorney.

4 suburban men accused of attacking Barraco's employees due in court
The four men accused of attacking multiple employees at Barraco's Pizza on Chicago's Southwest Side were expected in court last week.
The attack took place on June 23 when Chicago police were called to the scene by an off-duty officer who reported the altercation. The offenders were allegedly fighting Barraco's staff and also attacked the off-duty officer.

ACLU calls out Northbrook and Highland Park libraries over room rental policies
