Chicago man arrested less than an hour after carjacking woman: police

CHICAGO - A Chicago man has been arrested following an alleged carjacking in West Englewood on Thursday.
Stone Sawyer, 26, is facing a felony charge of vehicular hijacking in connection with the incident.
The carjacking occurred around 9 a.m. in the 7300 block of South Wood Street, where Sawyer is accused of targeting a 49-year-old woman.
Less than an hour later, police apprehended Sawyer in the 600 block of West 79th Street, taking him into custody.
He is scheduled to appear at a detention hearing on Friday.
