Wisconsin man dies after being ejected from vehicle in Waukegan
WAUKEGAN, Ill. - A Wisconsin man died in a car crash late Sunday night in Waukegan, police said.
The Waukegan police and fire departments responded to a crash with injuries around 11:59 p.m. near Greenwood Avenue and the Amstutz Expressway.
Officers determined that a Chevrolet Malibu had struck a guardrail on the north side of the intersection. The driver, identified as Quincharles Hayes, 34, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, was partially ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy revealed Hayes died from blunt force injuries to his head and neck sustained in the crash, officials said.
The incident remains under investigation.
