CHICAGO - A woman was wounded in a shooting Sunday in Chatham on the South Side.
She was riding in a vehicle about 5:46 p.m. in the 500 block of East 77th Street when someone opened fire, Chicago police said.
The 26-year-old was struck on her ankle and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition, police said.
Area Two detectives are investigating.
