Weber shares game-day recipe for All-American Bacon & Onion Cheeseburgers

On Orange Friday, Weber took to the spotlight to share some fresh and exciting ideas that are perfect for game day.
Whether you're grilling up something savory, sweet, or both, Weber has got you covered with creative recipes that are sure to impress your guests. These new ideas aim to bring flavor and fun to your tailgates, turning them into memorable celebrations.
Here is your Weber recipe for the week:
All American Bacon & Onion Cheeseburgers
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 lbs of ground beef
- 8 strips of bacon (cookedin an iron skillet)
- 4 slices of American cheese
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 1 half of a sweet onion (diced)
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 brioche buns (toasted on the grill
- 4 leaves of butter lettuce
- 4 slices of tomatoes
- Ketchup
- Thousand Island Dressing
- Yellow mustard
- Dill pickles (ovals)
Note: You can substitute any hamburger bun you like
Prep:
- Preheat grill to 450-500 degrees and clean with a Weber Grill Brush. At this time preheat any grill accessories you will be using on the grill as well (Grill basket, Cast Iron Skillet, etc.)
- Place bacon in the iron Skillet and cook until slightly crispy.
- Season burger meat with Garlic Powder and 1 Tbsp of finely diced Sweet Onion and form your patties. Once patties are formed lightly salt and pepper them before going to the grill.
- Grill the patties for 5 to 6 minutes a side or until an internal temperature of 160 degrees is reached.
- The last minute of your cook place the cheese (1 American & 1 Cheddar Slice) on the burger and the buns to toast.
- To build your burger spread the ketchup, Mustard and Thousand Island Dressing on the bun, place the burger patty on the bun, then lettuce, tomato, bacon and pickles.
