No. 24 DePaul women roll to 96-50 win over Providence

CHICAGO (AP) — Megan Podkowa scored 16 points and No. 24 DePaul cruised to a 96-50 win over Providence on Sunday.

Chanise Jenkins had 11 points and three players added 10 for the Blue Demons (16-6, 8-1 Big East), who won their fourth straight.

Maddie Jolin had 12 points for the Friars (4-15, 0-9), who lost their ninth straight.

DePaul led by 10 after one quarter and 54-25 at the half. All 12 players who entered the game scored and the Blue Demons shot 60 percent (21 of 35).

Jacqui Grant had nine rebounds to go with her 10 points as DePaul had a 49-27 advantage on the boards. That helped the Blue Demons get 19 second-chance points and a 42-24 advantage on points in the paint in reaching 90 points for the fifth time this season.

Providence shot 39 percent and had 18 turnovers.
