Campus Protests

It has been one week since students have been sleeping in tents on the quad at the University of Chicago. While tensions rose over the weekend, things have remained peaceful Monday.

Columbia University's commencement ceremony was set to take place where protesters had set up encampments in solidary with Gaza just last week. New York police arrested more than 100 people when the university asked students to take down their tents. The ceremony was canceled as tensions continue to grow on campuses across the country.
