A restaurant and retail store were robbed Monday night in the Bucktown neighborhood, the latest in a series of recent holdups on Chicago's Northwest Side.

At least three armed robberies were reported on the city's West and Northwest sides Thursday night. 

Chicago police officers were involved in two separate crashes five miles apart Wednesday morning on the Northwest Side.

Two men were hospitalized after armed robberies Sunday night in the Bucktown and Wicker Park neighborhoods.

A body was found in the Chicago River in Bucktown Friday afternoon.

The reimagined space will feature a restaurant, outdoor plaza, factory store, un-named big box retailer and office space.

“It happened so fast,” said Eric Johnson, who owns Burke’s Web Pub at 2026 W. Webster Ave. “They pulled over and all four of them got out and pointed their guns at us. I stood up and told them, ‘Take everything, just keep me safe.’”

Chicago police are looking a scooter rider who struck and seriously injured a pedestrian last April on the city's North Side.

Sunday's robbery spree happened in the Bucktown, Logan Square and West Town neighborhoods. Last weekend, a similar robbery spree targeted 10 people in 30 minutes in the Hermosa and Humboldt Park neighborhoods.

Police said they force staff to get money from the register or just go behind the counter and grab the money themselves. Their getaway car was a white sedan, possibly a Volkswagen Jetta.

A 19-year-old man was charged in connection to an armed carjacking in Bucktown earlier this week.
