DANGEROUS HEAT: Hot and humid conditions continue in the Chicago area on Wednesday, especially south of I-80 where a Heat Advisory is in effect. Expect temperatures to feel like it's close to 110 degrees.

A Kankakee County man was arrested after authorities executed a search warrant following an investigation into stolen firearms.

Sunday's temperatures in the Chicago area are expected to be in the upper 70s and low 80s. It is going to be less windy on Sunday in Cook, Will, Kane, Kankakee, DuPage and Lake counties than it was on Saturday.

The Kankakee County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect or suspects involved in a home invasion in suburban Manteno.

Chicago will expand vaccinations to everyone 16 and up on April 19. If you are trying to book an appointment for a teenager who is 16 or 17, keep in mind that the Pfizer vaccine is the only one approved for use in that age group. LIGHTNING & THUNDER: Storms are heading towards the Chicago area this evening. The areas most likely to get hit are suburbs west of Chicago including Elgin, Aurora, Joliet and Kankakee. Communities along the lakefront could be impacted as well.
