Downers Grove kicks of 1st day of school after extreme heat delays
One suburban school district held off the start of the school year until Friday. With extreme heat across the Chicago area on Wednesday and Thursday, Downers Grove District 58 delayed their first day back. The district said some buildings were not equipped to handle to the heat and not all students would be able to take part in remote learning.
