Security officials share DNC preparations for Chicago
We are learning more today about plans to keep the city safe during the Democratic National Convention in August. Deescalation trainings, police reinforcements, and additional surveillance systems will all be implemented to provide as minimal disruption as possible. The official security perimeter will be announced in late July which will include traffic detours and highway closures.
