Chicago weather: Lake-effect snow overnight; Lake County under Winter Weather Advisory

Chicago is bracing for lake-effect snow as it continues overnight and into tomorrow.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Lake County, where several inches of snow are expected. 

While temperatures remain steady in the mid-20s, the snow will accumulate, making for tricky conditions.

  • Monday: Lake-effect snow will persist throughout the day. It will need to be closely monitored, with highs expected near 28°F.
  • Tuesday: A mostly cloudy day is on tap, with temperatures holding steady at 26°F.
  • Wednesday: Expect partly sunny skies, but temperatures will drop to a chilly 22°F.

The rest of the week will stay in the 20s, with mainly dry conditions. Overnight lows will dip into the teens, so bundle up!
