Chicago weather: A sunny, but cold start to the weekend
CHICAGO - It's sunny and cold to start your Saturday in the Chicago area with temperatures clocking in at about 10 degrees below the average for this time of year.
Daytime highs will only get to around the mid-20s.
The area will mostly be dry with the exception of some lake effect snow in parts of Northwest Indiana.
Temperatures will likely rise for Sunday for the Bears game which will kick off at noon. The high will reach around 32 degrees.
For Monday morning, there is a chance for some sleet and brief freezing rain before a transition into all rain. Temperatures will reach into the 40s and stay there for much of the week.
Any snowfall in the forecast as of now does not look like it will last through the middle of the week, meaning there likely won't be a white Christmas.
