Christopher L. Johnson is charged with a felony count of home invasion with a dangerous weapon, Chicago police said.
Johnson, 41, allegedly forced his way into a home about 12 a.m. in the 800 block of West Lakeside Place through a rear sliding door, police said. He was confronted by the 39-year-old homeowner who shot him in the buttocks.
Johnson’s condition was stabilized at Illinois Masonic Medical Center, police said. The homeowner, who had a valid FOID card, was not injured. No one else was inside the home.
