19-year-old man shot in leg on Chicago's South Side

CHICAGO - A 19-year-old man was shot Tuesday evening on Chicago's South Side, police said.

The man was outside around 5:20 p.m. in the 7800 block of South Union Avenue when he heard gunfire and realized he had been shot in the left leg, according to police.

He was taken to a nearby hospital in good condition.

No arrests have been made, and Area Two detectives are investigating.
