Girl drowns in Bixler Lake in Kendalville, Indiana

KENDALVILLE, Indiana - A child drowned in Bixler Lake in Kendalville, Indiana on Saturday.

Indiana Conservation Officers said the girl, 6, was last seen swimming in shallow water. Relatives found her unresponsive at 1:02 p.m.

She was pronounced dead about a half hour later.

The incident is under investigation.
