Chicago man charged with first-degree murder in 2022 shooting

A Chicago man has been charged in connection with a deadly shooting in August 2022.

Timothy Parker, 30, faces one felony count of first-degree murder, two counts of warrant issuance, and one fugitive from justice warrant.

He was arrested on Dec. 17 in the 100 block of North Lavergne Avenue after being identified as one of the suspects in the Aug. 6, 2022, shooting in the 400 block of South Clark Street, police said.

The shooting killed a 29-year-old man.

Parker is expected to appear in court for a detention hearing on Dec. 19.
