IDOT to officially mark completion of Jane Byrne Interchange makeover Tuesday

CHICAGO - Good news for those who travel on the ground: The Illinois Department of Transportation will officially mark the completion of the Jane Byrne Interchange makeover Tuesday.

There is a ribbon cutting as lanes and ramps all go into service.

The project is years late and millions over budget.

However, IDOT says it will make commuting faster and much safer.
