3 men arrested after allegedly attacking clerk, patron at Chicago convenience store
CHICAGO - Three men were arrested Thursday night following an alleged attack on a convenience store clerk and a patron on the city’s Northwest Side.
The incident occurred around 9:46 p.m. in the 4000 block of West Belmont Avenue. According to police, an argument between the men and the store clerk escalated into a physical altercation.
During the fight, the men also attacked a 39-year-old customer who was in the store. One of the men struck the customer in the face with an object, authorities said.
Officers responded to the scene and arrested all three suspects.
The 39-year-old man was taken to a local hospital in fair condition. The clerk declined medical attention.
Charges against the suspects are pending, police said.
