Man, 29, shot in Chatham alley

CHICAGO - A man was shot in the leg while in an alley Tuesday evening in the Chatham neighborhood.

The 29-year-old was in an alley around 6:30 p.m. in the 7900 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue when gunfire broke out and struck him in the leg, police said.

The victim self-transported to St. Bernard Hospital where he was listed in fair condition, police said.
