A postcard originally sent 121 years ago was delivered on August 16 to an office in Swansea, Wales.

The Swansea Building Society received a postcard in the mail that was dated August 3, 1903, with a King Edward VII stamp.

Storyful, a social news platform, received a video of the mysterious postcard from the Swansea Building Society.

This postcard was addressed to Miss Lydia Davies, who may have lived in the building that is now home to the Swansea Building Society’s head office, the organization tells Storyful.

There is also a mysterious message on the postcard that says "Dear L. I could not, it was impossible to get the pair of these. I am so sorry, but I hope you are enjoying yourself at home. I have got now about 10 [unreadable] pocket money not counting the train fare so I’m doing alright." The note ends with a request to "Remember me to Miss Gilbert + John with love to all from [unreadable]."

Storyful notes that the front of the postcard has a wintry scene with a suggestive image standing over a frozen tree stump, with snowy mountains and a starry sky in the background.

After the discovery of the postcard, the building society is reaching out to the public on social media for information about Davies and the 100-plus year-old postcard.
