Person shot in Evanston, offender flees the scene

EVANSTON, Ill. - A person was shot in Evanston Wednesday afternoon.

At about 4:50 p.m., police responded to a call of shots fired in the area of Foster and Ashland. 

When officers arrived, they located a 20-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. 

He was transported to an area hospital in stable condition. The offender fled the scene.

No other information was released.
