President Obama Crashes San Diego Wedding

LA JOLLA, Ca - There are a few things that are considered a big deal on your wedding day but for some, meeting the President of the United States may just top the cake topper.

As was the case for Stephanie and Brian Tobe. The pair chose The Lodge at Torrey Pines in La Jolla to tie the knot this past Sunday but unbeknownst to them, the leader of the free world was also there playing a round of golf. 

Photographer Samantha Starkey described it as such a crazy moment.

"The wedding was happening right in front of the 18th hole on the Torrey Pines Golf Course. It just so happened that the timing was perfect that he was playing the18th hole right as the ceremony was about to begin," said Starkey. "The bride and groom were waiting in the suite to come down for the start of the ceremony, but instead ran down as quick as they could to meet President Obama."

Starkey said Stephanie was literally running across the lawn in her wedding dress to get a chance to meet the Commander in Chief, that both she and Brian were overjoyed, and described the President as gracious. 

The President took the time to meet both Stephanie and Brian, pose for photos and wish them well in their marriage. The ceremony took place shortly there after.
