17-year-old boy arrested minutes after allegedly firing shots at Chicago police

A 17-year-old boy was arrested Sunday night after allegedly firing shots at police in the South Chicago neighborhood.

The teen faces three felony counts of attempted first-degree murder and one felony count of unlawful use of a machine gun or automatic weapon, according to police. 

The charges stem from an incident around 8:45 p.m. in the 8200 block of South Coles Avenue, when the teen allegedly fired shots at Chicago Police officers. No one was struck.
