1,549 new COVID-19 cases in Illinois, 20 additional deaths

Illinois saw a rise in COVID-19 cases Tuesday as health officials announced 1,549 new cases and 20 additional deaths.

 IDPH has now reported a total of 196,948 cases, including 7,657 deaths in Illinois.

The state’s positive rate is at 4.1%. 

As of Tuesday, 1,459 people were reported to be in the hospital with COVID-19 in Illinois.
