Chicago Public Schools starts budgeting process
CHICAGO - Chicago Public Schools started its budgeting process on Wednesday.
Officials say district managed schools will get an additional $150 million next year.
The school district is facing a massive deficit for the 2025 school year because federal funding is set to run out. Without it, CPS will be down more than $600 million.
