MARKHAM, Ill. (FOX 32 News) - No one was injured in a fire Wednesday night at an uninhabited house in south suburban Markham.

Crews were called to the house in the 16500 block of Plymouth Drive in Markham about 11:20 p.m., Markham Fire Department Lt. Scott Adams told a reporter at the scene. Firefighters arrived to find heavy fire coming out the north side of the building.

Crews were able to ventilate the house and extinguish the fire within an hour.

The house was being renovated and there was no one inside at the time of the fire, Adams said. No injuries were reported, and there was no damage to surrounding homes.
