House fire in Deerfield leaves behind heavy damage

DEERFIELD, Ill. - A home was heavily damaged by fire Thursday afternoon in north suburban Deerfield.

The incident occurred on Chestnut Street. SkyFOX was live over the scene and the widespread destruction was apparent.

No injuries were immediately reported.

Deerfield Road eastbound between Chestnut St. and Robert York Ave. was closed because of the fire.

The circumstances of how the fire started were not known. The investigation is ongoing.
