Man fatally struck by Blue Line Train at Addison station

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) - A man was struck by a Blue Train train and killed Sunday morning at the Addison station in the Northwest Side Irving Park neighborhood.

Officers responded about 9 a.m. to a call of a person struck by a train near the station at 3622 W. Addison St., according to Chicago Police.

Anthony Raul Santana, 33, was pronounced dead at the scene, police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office said. He lived in the Albany Park neighborhood.

An autopsy found Santana died of multiple injuries from the crash and his death was ruled an accident, the medical examiner’s office said.
