West Garfield Park shooting sends man to hospital

CHICAGO - A man was shot and wounded Thursday night in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

The 25-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk just before 11 p.m. in the 4200 block of West Monroe Street when a gunman started shooting, according to police.

The victim was grazed on the hand by gunfire and was transported to Loretto Hospital where he was listed in fair condition, police said.
