Chicago weather: Wind chills plummet to -10 to -20
CHICAGO - The coldest air of the season is moving into the Chicago area this evening.
Temperatures are quickly dropping following today's arctic cold front. It'll be a bitter cold and blustery night with lows in the lower single digits and wind chills dropping to -10 to -20 by early Thursday morning.
Thursday will be very cold with highs in the mid-teens. Wind chills will likely remain below zero through midday, and then only climb into the single digits during the afternoon. Thursday night will also be very cold with lows in the upper single digits to near 10 degrees.
Warmer air moves in on Friday with mostly cloudy skies and highs near 30. The weekend will be warmer than normal with highs returning to near 40 on Saturday and then low to mid 40s on Sunday. Saturday will bring rain, and it could linger into Sunday morning, but the majority of Sunday will be dry and mostly cloudy.
Another round of rain will be possible on Monday with highs in the upper 40s.
