Chatham shooting leaves 16-year-old boy seriously wounded

CHICAGO - A 16-year-old boy was shot and seriously wounded Wednesday night in the Chatham neighborhood.

Officers found the teen suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg around 10:40 p.m. in the 200 block of West 87th Street, according to police.

The victim was taken to Comer Children's Hospital where he was listed in serious condition.

No one was taken into custody. Area Two detectives are investigating.
