Police: Couple robs two Gold Coast stores within two hours

CHICAGO (STMW) - Two people robbed two stores in the Gold Coast neighborhood on the North Side within two hours last week.

On Dec. 14, the robbers entered a store in the 0-100 block of East Oak Street between 2 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. and took merchandise worth $10,000, according to a statement from Area Central detectives.

About an hour later, the pair entered a store in the 700 block of North Michigan Avenue between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. and stole a jacket worth $95,000, according to the statement.

Police released a surveillance photo of the suspects. Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to contact Area Central detectives at (312) 742-5778.
