Chicago Police: Woman sexually assaulted at gunpoint in Ashburn
CHICAGO (STMW) - A woman was abducted and sexually assaulted at gunpoint early Wednesday in the Southwest Side Ashburn neighborhood.
The 30-year-old woman was walking eastbound on 83rd Street between Washtenaw and Talman about 1:30 a.m. when two men in a silver late-model Buick pulled up, according to a community alert from Area Central detectives.
One man got out of the Buick and grabbed her from behind and forced her into the vehicle, police said. He sexually assaulted the woman while the second man, who was armed with a handgun, continued to drive.
The woman was released and police were notified.
The suspects were described as two black men between 25 and 30 years old, about 6-foot-2 and between 165 to 300 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and a fade hairstyle, police said. One of the suspects was wearing a navy blue hooded sweater, black pants, black gym shoes and a skull cap.
